The struggle is real.

Good idea: Shaking hands during the greeting time at church. Bad idea: “Accidentally” spilling your coffee so you don’t have to make eye contact.

We’ll admit, greeting time can sometimes be awkward. For some, it comes naturally; for me, it doesn't. I have to force myself to greet. I'd rather stay in my comfort zone, saying hi to my friends. But, if you think about it, if I stay in my comfort zone, that might put a new person out of their comfort zone. Who wants to feel ignored or un-wlecome? Not me. So greet someone new at your church today. Make them feel loved and wanted even if it makes you feel awkward.
